Frequently Asked Questions

Laser Hair RemovalHow does laser hair removal work?

A laser works by emitting a wavelength of high energy light, which, in the case of hair removal, we can target to create heat and suppress the growth of hair follicles. Our female owner/operated is an expert at intimate bikini laser hair removal and is highly trained. We specialise in treating dark and Asian skin types, transsexual, Transgender clients both post and pre-op, as well as male clients, and female clients suffering from Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS).

All parts of the body can be treated: underarms, bikinis, legs, shoulders, abdomen and back. Several treatments are required and best results are achieved with dark hair. It will not work with white hair.

Can laser hair removal help me?

Whatever your skin colour, 360 Laser Image will be able to advise you on the most appropriate laser hair removal treatment.

Why come to 360 Laser Image for laser hair removal?

Laser hair removal treatments are carried out by OWNER OPERATED experienced laser therapist. Certified and years of experience in the industry.

Does laser hair removal hurt?

For some people there is a sensation of mild prickling but for others the experience is completely pain-free.

What is a patch test?

This is the procedure which allows us to check that your skin is suitable for laser hair removal. A general inspection of your skin will take place and then a small area will be exposed to the laser light. In addition to ensuring no adverse reactions occur, this also provides us with the opportunity to tailor the machine’s settings to your personal requirements.

Am I suitable for laser hair removal?

Lasers target pigment so as long as your hair is not white or grey then you are a suitable candidate for laser hair removal. However, the Red hair would require more treatments than other hair colours

How often will I need treatment?

You must have around 6 to 8 treatments to get the optimum benefit. Facial laser hair treatments can be every 3 – 6 weeks and body laser hair removal treatments also performed every 3 – 6 weeks.

Are there any side-effects?

For most people with a very sensitive skin the only side-effect reported is a mild rash that may last 30 – 60 minutes.

How should I prepare before a treatment?

Avoid any other hair removal methods such as waxing, threading or hair removal creams for 4 weeks prior the treatment. Laser Hair removal may not be done if the skin is sunburned, therefore limit sun exposure prior to treatment.

What about aftercare?

Avoid sun exposure for 5 – 7 days. Exfoliation must be done 7 – 10 days after treatment. This is to take place twice a week on the treated area to remove dead skin cells. The reason for this is to enable the dead hair to fall out from underneath the dead skin cells.
